NA60

NA60 general protection relay

The NA60 protection relay can be used on radial and/or meshed MV and LV networks, providing reliable protection for power lines and transformers. It offers protection on radial, ring or parallel lines of any length in systems with a grounded, ungrounded, Petersen coil and/resistance grounded systems.
It also provides effective ground fault protection for generators connected directly to the same busbar. Undervoltage and overvoltage functions are integrated as voltage protection or control, ensuring optimal system operation. The relay can be supplied with phase current input circuits suitable for both conventional CT and TV or combined Thysensor devices. Both versions are certified for use as general protection of users connected to the MV distribution network in accordance with the Italian standards CEI 0-16 in applications where maximum directional and non-directional phase and directional earth current protection functions are provided.

Features of the NA60 general protection relay

The Thytronic NA60 protection relay has several functions designed to ensure the safety of power lines and transformers. These standard protection and control functions include under voltage monitoring, thermal imaging for Line/Transformer, and phase overcurrent, residual overvoltage and overcurrent monitoring. The relay is also capable of handling directional phase overcurrent, as well as offering ground directional overcurrent and detecting failure to open the breaker.

In addition, the NA60 relay provides CT and VT  phase line monitoring, as well as trip circuit supervision. Optionally, a hardware package is available for protection function 26 to measure machine temperature using Pt100 thermometer probes.  The relay also has a USB type B port to facilitate communication with ThyVisor configuration software.

XMR-P

XMR-P is part of the XMORE platform, a complete range of IEDs for medium voltage applications that includes feeders, motors, generators, transformers, and capacitor banks. Thanks to its hardware and software modularity, XMR-P is flexible and scalable in terms of applications and performance.

Features of the XMR-P Protection Relay

The XMR-P multifunction relay is used in power grids with any neutral state (isolated, earthed with high or low value resistance, earthed with Petersen coil (compensated neutral) and any resistance, directly connected to earth) for the following typical applications:
  • Protection of radial lines, transformers
  • As a CEI 0-16 certified General Protection System ( SPG), with measurement inputs from inductive CT-VT or from ThySensor
  • Disconnection of self-producers from the electrical distribution network (LoM - Loss of Main); in particular, the version with inputs from ThySensor, is CEI 0-16 certified as SPG (general protection system) and integrated SPI (interface protection system).
With optional SW package, it is also possible to extend its application to:
  • Loop lines or long radial lines, generators or transformers in parallel, thanks to directional phase (67) and ground (67N) protections
  • For directional monitoring of active and/or reactive power
  • As multifunctional motor or generator protection.

NA30

The NA30 protection relay is used in radial MV networksas feeder or power transformer protection. . It is suitable for long feeders in ungrounded systems or with  Petersen coil and/or high resistance grounded systems, while, on the LV side of transformers in parallel, with any neutral grounding system.
Relay NA30 can be used as general protection of users connected to the MV distribution network in accordance with the Italian standard CEI 0-16in applications where the functions of maximum current and directional earth protection are provided.

Features of the NA30 general protection relay

Standard protection functions and control elements of the Thytronic NA30 protection relay include thermal imaging for Line/Transformer, phase overcurrent, maximun residual overcurrent and residual overvoltage, along with ground directional overcurrent. In addition, the relay offers breaker failure detection, phase current transformer monitoring, and trip circuit supervision.

Optionally, a hardware package is available for protection function 26 for machine temperature measurement via Pt100 thermometer probes. Additional hardware and software configurations can be integrated according to specific requirements. The relay is also equipped with a USB Type B port for easy connection to ThyVisor configuration software, simplifying system management and monitoring.
