XMR-T

XMR-T Protection Relay for Transformers

The XMR-T relay is part of the XMORE platform, the complete range of IEDs for medium voltage applications. Thytronic's XMR-T is the complete solution for the protection of two or three winding transformers.

Features of the XMR-T Protection Relay for Transformers

The Thytronic XMR-T transformer protection relay is an advanced solution designed to ensure the safety of transformers. Its features include remarkable accuracy in measurements, allowing up to 12 analog inputs and detailed recording of 32 samples per cycle during faults, ensuring reliable protection under disturbance conditions. Communication security is assured through redundancy protocols such as HSR, PRP, and RSTP, along with robust integrated cybersecurity measures. An advanced time synchronization solution, including the PTP protocol as per IEC1588 and SNTP, provides high precision in event logging. The relay is broadly compatible with Smart Grid networks and substation automation systems, adopting protocols such as IEC61850, IEC 870-5-103, Modbus, and DNP3.
Its protection and control functions include a wide range of parameters, including maximum and minimum currents and voltages, frequency monitoring, remote trip, ensuring complete and customized protection. Thanks to hardware and software modularity, different functionalities can be integrated according to specific needs
