NM20 Motor Protection Relay
The NM20 protection relay can be used for protecting large asynchronous and synchronous motors on MT networks, applicable for lines of any length in systems with isolated neutrals, solidly grounded, Petersen coil and/or resistance grounded.
Features of the NM20 Motor Protection Relay
Its standard and control features include management of undervoltage and positive sequence undervoltage, directional active underpower, and regulation of under current It also offers detection of loss offield, Negative sequence overvoltagefor motors and generators, control of the maximum number of startings with the possibility of inhibiting restart, and ground directionality.
Thytronic's NM20 relay also monitors over- and underfrequency, breaker operation, and the trip circuit. Additionally, it provides the option to integrate thermal protection function 26 for measuring machine temperature via Pt100 thermometric probes. Hardware and software configuration options offer further customization possibilities.
