The current scenario of the Italian power grid entails the need for research and development of suitable protection systems for both the National Transmission Grid and the Distribution Grid. We will discuss this, and the challenges that the market imposes, during the seminar "Gli odierni orizzonti dei sistemi di protezione delle reti elettriche" organised by AEIT on 23 November at the Aula Magna of the Rector' s Office of the University of Florence.
