Purpose of the role
The successful candidate will be based at the Thytronic production site in Padua in the role of Electrical Switchboard Assembly and Wiring Technician. The work is carried out at a workbench on de-energised equipment and involves the mechanical assembly of components, cable termination and the wiring of connectors within the switchboards or equipment itself. In addition to the construction phase, the role will involve carrying out final connections in the testing and commissioning area. During this phase, the candidate will simulate the actual commissioning of the system by connecting it to the power supply, linking data systems and starting up both in-house production equipment and that supplied by external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will ensure the correct construction, cabling and any pre-testing of the control panels produced. They will liaise with the technical and automation departments.
They will ensure the conformity of the final product, contributing to the quality and reliability standards of Thytronic systems and third-party components.
Requirements and skills:
• Assembly experience, preferably gained as a machine-side wireman
• Experience in the wiring of industrial control panels
• Experience in the installation of electrical instrumentation systems for industry and electricity companies
• Experience in the maintenance of existing electrical systems and control panels
Requirements:
• Willingness to travel (travel is occasional and limited to short trips within Italy)
• Flexibility regarding working hours
• Experience gained in companies specialising in the construction of electrical switchboards and electrical installations in an industrial setting
• Ability to read electrical diagrams with ease
• Ability to carry out electrical wiring based on reading an electrical diagram and/or connection diagram
• Ability to understand the architecture of industrial electrical panels
• Proficiency in using the main tools and equipment commonly required for this role (screwdrivers, drills, impact wrenches, manual crimping tools for terminating cables and wiring)
• Basic computer skills
