The person will be responsible for testing activities of new products being released from R&D or existing products to which SW changes are made (SW releases and/or bug fix patches)
In particular, the following activities will be required
analysis of product functional requirements in both stand-alone and system configuration within more complex solutions;
understanding, revising and/or updating the Product Test List document drafted by R&D;
creation, revision and/or updating of the System Test List document involving the implementation of product integration tests within more complex solutions (communication networks, interchange logics, etc.);
realisation and execution of tests and related documentation;
assistance to the engineering department in carrying out acceptance tests (FAT) and field tests (SAT) with the client;
weekly release of test status and issue planning;
support to the customer care department for joint analyses
Requirements:
Understanding of product application software and knowledge of testing processes and methods;
Solid knowledge of test processes and methods;
Ability to critically analyse and execute test procedures;
Good ability to write clear, precise and comprehensive reports (e.g. issue descriptions) for submission to and discussion with the R&D function;
Background/experience in the electrical field and in particular of products in the field of Protection, Control and Monitoring of electrical networks (Protection relays, BCU's RTU's, SCADA).
Good knowledge of Microsoft tools (e.g. Office);
Ability to produce automatic test procedures by means of SW scripts
Knowledge of networking protocols and main communication buses
Experience in testing embedded Linux-based products
Also required are good problem-solving and team-working skills, autonomy in organising assigned tasks and orientation towards results, willingness to travel nationally and internationally to company offices, and excellent knowledge of English.
The ideal candidate has a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics
Experience required: 5 years in companies in the industrial automation/energy sector
